Tuesday May 25 Jefferson Memorial

Breakfast @ the 4H Conference Center, Chevy Chase, MD
Taylor @ the Jefferson Memorial

2010 6th graders @ the Jefferson Memorial

We started our day with a breakfast buffet @ 7am. The children brought healthy appetites. Plates were loaded with an array of eggs, pancakes, homefries, sausage, bacon, cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels, and a host of other choices (and coffee for chaperones). Everyone looked rested despite our late night.

As we rode to the tidal basin we looked for embassy flags while Emily counted taxis, 23,24,25,26. Sophie spotted an embassy flag with colors red, yellow and blue.

We had a brisk walk to the Jefferson Memorial in the cool Washington D.C air. Oh how we enjoyed the 75 degree weather. Not too hot, not too cold:)
